The Role
A warm, informal family is seeking an experienced, reliable, and discreet Housekeeper to join their household in rural Dorset, close to the Dorset/Wiltshire border. This is a varied role combining general housekeeping with occasional light childcare and family support. The family has two school-aged children who are at school during the day.

Responsibilities
- Full housekeeping, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organization.
- Preparing simple family meals.
- Occasional school pickups and light childcare.
- Supporting the children's after-school routine when needed.
- Helping to ensure the household runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Using initiative and maintaining high standards throughout the home.
- Occasional overnight stays.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' private housekeeping experience.
- Full UK driving licence and own reliable car.
- Strong spoken English and good communication skills.
- Flexible, approachable, and able to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and high standards.
- Discreet, trustworthy, responsible, and reliable.
- Excellent written references.
- DBS Required.

Location
Ideally suited to candidates based around Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Tisbury, or the surrounding areas. This would suit an experienced Housekeeper looking for a long-term position within a friendly, informal household. The family values reliability, discretion, and care and is looking for someone who can become a trusted part of their daily routine.
