Housekeeper

Location: Southend

Employment Type: Permanent

Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week


Spire Wellesley Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join our team on a full-time permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. You will be responsible for the delivery of high quality housekeeping service to the hospital and auxiliary buildings.

We operate a rota shift pattern; working hours will be 5 out of 7 days, with shift patterns:

  • 6am - 2pm
  • 7am - 3pm
  • 9:30am – 5:30pm
  • 2pm to 10pm

Please only apply if you are able to commit to these shift patterns as this will be on a rota. This will include weekend cover of the Ward & Theatres.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete cleaning schedules related to the shift, ensuring rooms are ready set to the correct layout as needed and both offices and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards
  • Compliance with all Health and Safety at Work Regulations including COSHH
  • Carry out any other duty that reasonably falls within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post.

Who We're Looking For

  • Experience of working in a similar role, in a customer facing environment but this is not essential. What is important is that you are hard working and reliable
  • It is desirable but not essential that you have an awareness and understanding of Health & Safety at work and COSHH
  • Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team.
