Housekeeper (Cleaner) – Serviced Apartments, West Kensington
About us
Arcadia Residences is a serviced apartment property in West Kensington, London, welcoming guests for short and longer stays. We're a small, close-knit team, and we keep communication open and easy. If you need something to make your work run more smoothly, just tell us.
The role
We're looking for an efficient, detail-oriented Housekeeper (Cleaner) to prepare our flats between guest stays. Standards matter a great deal to us: our aim is for every guest to walk into the cleanest flat possible. In return, we're committed to making your working environment as comfortable and straightforward as we can.
Most of the work is changeover cleaning of the flats, which usually happens between 11am and 3pm, after guests check out and before new guests arrive.
What you'll do
- Clean each flat thoroughly between stays: bedrooms, living areas, kitchens and bathrooms
- Strip used bed linen and towels and make up beds with fresh linen. Laundry is handled by an external service, so there's no washing or ironing
- Restock guest supplies such as toiletries and kitchen essentials. On busy days, our concierge team helps with this
- Take out rubbish from the flats, with help from the concierge when things are busy
- Report any maintenance issues, damage or missing items to the team
- Work to our cleaning checklists and standards so every flat is consistently guest-ready
- On quieter days, clean the building's communal areas, mainly the floors
- Occasionally help at our second site, a 15-minute walk away. This is always planned within your working day

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
