Housekeeper | Hale Clinic | Part time – 20 hours or 17.5 hours per week

Spire Hale Clinic has an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team on a part-time, permanent basis.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness within the hospital. You will play an important role in ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues.

Spire Hale Clinic provides outpatient and day case treatments by a team of dedicated consultants and healthcare professionals.

Working hours

We have two positions available working either 20 hours or 17.5 hours per week. The shift patterns will be as follows:

  • 17.5 hours - Tuesday - Friday 7am - 10:30am and Saturday 11am - 2:30pm
  • 20 hours - Monday - Friday 4:30pm - 8:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing cleaning schedules in line with the requirements of your shift.
  • Ensuring rooms are clean, prepared and set up to the correct layout as required.
  • Maintaining cleanliness across offices, clinical areas and public spaces.
  • Working closely with clinical colleagues to support the day-to-day needs of the hospital.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including COSHH.
  • Supporting the team to maintain consistently high standards across the hospital.

Who We Are Looking For

No formal qualifications are required, but we are looking for someone who is reliable, professional and able to communicate clearly with colleagues, patients and visitors.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar cleaning or housekeeping role, ideally in a customer-facing environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • The ability to build rapport with patients, visitors and colleagues.
  • A team-focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • A methodical and organised approach to work.
  • High personal standards and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and some weekends.
