Housekeeper

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and committed Housekeeper to join our team. You will be working full-time, covering Monday to Sunday.

This is an exciting and pivotal role in which you will work closely with the nursing and domestic staff to ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for ensuring that all medical equipment is clean and well maintained.
• Undertake the ordering of stores and equipment on the ward, excellent computer skills are essential for this role.
• Responsible for assisting with obtaining feedback from our patients by using the What Matters To Me tracker and friend and family test.
• Assist the team in continuous quality improvement work.
• Maintain/replenishing of stock levels both on the unit and in the storeroom.
• Housekeeping of the unit ensuring it is tidy, clean, and organized.
• Maintaining testing of equipment on the unit i.e. liaising with MEAM.
• Good record keeping (both of equipment and other housekeeper tasks).
• Monitoring stock levels and ordering it in a timely manner.
• Offering of refreshments to patients.
• Ensuring that the food order has been sent and patients receive the right order.
• Good communication between patients and staff.
• Ensuring completion of WM2M & FFT surveys on a daily basis.
• Good IT skills as due to HIVE implementation.
• Knowledge around the different systems online to access/report jobs (i.e. estates, IT issues etc).
• Maintain 100% compliance with mandatory training.
• Promote a safe working environment and participate in Moving and handling, food hygiene, waste management, and fire safety practices.
