About The Role
Days of Working
This position will be based at Lymington New Forest Hospital, working 07:00 to 15:00 five days over 7, but mainly Monday to Friday with very occasional weekends.
As a Housekeeper, you’ll be responsible for keeping all areas of the building spotless, including offices, communal spaces, stairwells, kitchens, and washrooms. You’ll make sure everything meets the required standards and stays that way. Part of your job will involve checking equipment, requesting stock, and following other processes to keep things running smoothly. During busy times, you’ll help out the catering team, which might include serving food and drinks or handling payments. It’s a varied role that keeps you on your toes!
Key Responsibilities
- The cleaning of all areas of the building including office space, communal areas, stairwells, kitchens, and washrooms (plus other ad hoc areas) and ensuring areas are cleaned to the required standards and standards are maintained at all times
- You will be required to complete all training as required to deliver your role
- BiCs License to Practise training will be provided to support you in effectively delivering your role
- Deep cleaning of areas as required, full training will be provided to support
- Completion of equipment checks, stock requests, and all other processes required to support you in effectively delivering your role
- Provide support to Catering teams during busy periods and to support event catering, this may include serving food/drinks and taking payments using till

Ideal Candidate Criteria
- Must have Right to Work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS will be completed for the successful candidate
- Desirable to have experience in cleaning or be willing to learn
- You must be customer-driven, with the ability to work well in a team
- Communication skills are key, in order to ensure successful service delivery
- Technology skills are beneficial as the role requires the use of mobile telephone and apps
