An Exciting Opportunity

Job Title: Housekeeper on Ward 111

As a housekeeper, you will lead ward services such as catering, cleaning, equipment, and supplies. The work includes:

  • Talking to patients
  • Ordering non-clinical supplies
  • Ensuring the ward is clean and tidy

You will assist in the smooth running of the ward by promoting a clean and healthy environment and be responsible for ensuring adequate stocks of consumables are maintained to meet service requirements and that all equipment within the department is clean and in good working order.

You will be highly motivated to help maintain our high standards in caring, and you will be valued and appreciated for the contribution you give to our team. You will work closely with the management team on ward 111.

Responsibilities

The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the environment and catering services meet the needs and expectations of Patients, Visitors, and the Ward team. The post holder will work as an integral part of the ward team and will be responsible for the coordination of all patient facilities and services in the ward area and ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

The main elements of the role are ensuring the delivery of cleaning, catering, and minor maintenance services, together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the Ward Sister. The post holder will monitor quality standards, reporting deficiencies and recommending appropriate changes.
