Based at our contemporary head office and distribution centre on the outskirts of Preston, James Hall & Co. Ltd. have been established for over 150 years proudly serving communities across the north of England as supplier and distributor to over 450 SPAR stores.

Hours of work: Full time 3.00pm – 11.00pm Monday to Friday
Location: James Hall & Co. Ltd, SPAR Distribution Centre, Bowland View, Preston, PR2 5QT
Hourly Rate: £12.75
About the Role
As a member of the James Hall Housekeeping staff, you will be expected to provide a high-quality cleaning service across all areas of the organisation. You will be required to perform various scheduled duties in the offices, toilets, meeting rooms, canteen and associated areas in order to maintain acceptable levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
Here’s What You Can Expect to be Doing
- Maintain cleanliness across offices, warehouse areas, and staff facilities to set schedule
- Carry out regular sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming and waste disposal.
- Ensure restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas are hygienic and stocked with consumables.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly.
- Support the team in maintaining a tidy and organised workplace.
- To ensure any health and safety hazards encountered are dealt with appropriately and/or referred to management.

A Few Things About You
- Previous housekeeping/cleaning experience (preferred but not essential).
- Adopts a positive ‘can do’ attitude to challenging situations
- Have strong attention to detail and pride in your work, achieving high standards of cleanliness & hygiene
- Will have the ability to work without supervision, yet as part of a team
- Is enthusiastic, passionate and energetic whilst consistently striving to exceed expectations
- Demonstrates good time management
- A positive attitude and team spirit.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the business
