Role Summary

As the Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring our ward remains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Working closely with the nursing, medical, and domestic teams, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness, infection prevention, and patient experience, ensuring the ward runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming ward environment in line with infection prevention and control standards.
  • Ensure patient bed spaces, treatment areas, and communal areas are clean, tidy, and well organised.
  • Order, receive, monitor, and replenish ward stock, including clinical and non-clinical supplies.

  • Ensure food and beverage areas are maintained to food hygiene standards.
  • Liaise with the catering, domestic, portering, and estates teams to ensure the smooth running of the ward.

  • Welcome patients and visitors, providing a friendly and professional first point of contact.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive patient experience by creating a comfortable and organised environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Adhere to Trust policies, including infection prevention, health and safety, confidentiality, and safeguarding.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
