Catering & Housekeeping Supervisor
Location: KIMS Hospital, Maidstone
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £26,010 per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Catering & Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Guest Services team. This is a key role in ensuring our patients and visitors receive consistently high standards of cleanliness, catering, and customer service throughout their time at KIMS.
You will support the Guest Services Lead in the day-to-day running of the Catering and Housekeeping departments, ensuring the team is appropriately staffed, trained, and equipped to deliver an exceptional service. You will be a visible and supportive supervisor, leading by example and ensuring our standards are maintained across the hospital.
What will you be responsible for?
- Supervising and supporting the Catering and Housekeeping teams, including daily briefings, allocating work, managing rotas, and ensuring staff have the training and resources required to deliver their roles effectively.
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and catering, carrying out regular inspections, monitoring cleaning and temperature schedules, and taking corrective action where required.
- Delivering an outstanding patient and visitor experience, ensuring food and drinks are prepared and served to the required standards and patient dietary requirements are met.
- Supporting quality, safety, and compliance, including infection prevention and control, Health & Safety, COSHH, manual handling, food safety, and hospital policies and procedures.
- Responding confidently to day-to-day challenges, resolving issues within the team, responding to requests and concerns, managing complaints appropriately, and escalating matters when necessary.

What are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is patient-focused, enthusiastic, and committed to delivering high standards. You will be comfortable working in a busy environment, able to motivate and support a team, and confident in taking ownership when challenges arise.
Essential Criteria
- Previous supervisory experience within Housekeeping and/or Catering.
- Excellent verbal communication and customer care skills.
- A flexible, enthusiastic, and reliable approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
- Previous supervisory experience within a similar healthcare, hospitality, or service environment.
- Training or qualifications in areas such as Food Safety Level 3, COSHH, Health & Safety, or Manual Handling.
