We’re looking for a Housekeeping Assistant to join the team at Burley Manor, our beautiful New Forest hotel set in the heart of the stunning village of Burley.
As part of our housekeeping team, you’ll play an important role in creating the exceptional guest experience that Burley Manor is known for. From preparing bedrooms and refreshing guest areas to ensuring every room is clean, comfortable and beautifully presented, you’ll help create the warm and welcoming atmosphere our guests love.
This is a hands-on role where no two days are quite the same, and where your care, attention to detail and positive attitude really make a difference.

What you'll be doing
As a Housekeeping Assistant, you’ll help make sure our bedrooms and guest areas are presented to an excellent standard. Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning and preparing guest bedrooms and bathrooms to a consistently high standard
- Refreshing and maintaining public areas around the hotel
- Replenishing guest amenities and ensuring rooms have everything guests need
- Reporting any maintenance issues or damaged items promptly
- Following our housekeeping procedures, health and safety guidelines and cleaning standards
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure rooms are ready for our guests
- Helping to create a clean, comfortable and welcoming environment throughout Burley Manor
What we're looking for
Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience would be an advantage, but it’s not essential. What matters most to us is your attitude, reliability and pride in your work.
You’ll be someone who:
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Has a keen eye for detail
- Is reliable, organised and hardworking
- Works well as part of a team
- Has a positive and friendly approach
- Is willing to learn and develop
- Understands the importance of health and safety
- Is comfortable working in a busy hotel environment
- Can work flexibly, including weekends, bank holidays and holiday periods
Due to the location of Burley Manor and limited public transport links, your own transport is essential.

Burley Manor is located in a rural New Forest setting, and public transport links are limited. Before applying, please make sure you are familiar with the location and have considered how you would travel to and from work.
The role is with shifts varying according to the needs of the hotel. Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays and during busy holiday periods is required.
