Housekeeping Assistant

Location: The Prince of Wales Hospice

Salary: £24,851 (FTE), £12.71 per hour

Hours: 16 hours per week (including some weekend working)

At The Prince of Wales Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14-bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including a successful Lymphoedema clinic.

About The Role

The role involves working as part of a housekeeping team under the direction of our Facilities Manager to ensure and maintain a high standard of cleaning and domestic duties to meet the needs of the organisation.

  • You should hold an NVQ Level 2 in Housekeeping or be willing to work towards obtaining one
  • A good knowledge of infection control would be advantageous
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential
  • Previous experience of working in a care sector would be desirable
