Housekeeping Assistant – Bank
Location: Heathland Court Care Home, Wimbledon London, SW19 5NJ
Salary: £13.10 per hour
Contract: Bank
Heathland Court is an elegant and spacious home situated in the leafy suburb of Wimbledon. It offers long and short-term residential, nursing, and dementia care.
The home is surrounded by attractive, well-maintained gardens, originally a private house, you will find many of its original features, including traditional fireplaces and high ceilings inside the grand stone building. There is plenty of communal space, with five well-furnished lounges and a conservatory for residents and families to relax and socialise.
It’s close to local transport links, is a few minutes’ drive from the A3, has its own dedicated car park, and benefits from a bus route stopping near the home.
Enjoying food is an important part of life. The chefs create well-crafted menus made with the freshest ingredients and try to cater for all ethnicity groups. Soon after a resident arrives at the home, staff discuss their personal preferences and dietary needs with them.
There’s a real sense of community at Heathland Court. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing, and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether your loved one already has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in.

You’ll help us make health happen by:
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff
- Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish, and generally ensure the upkeep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms
- You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks for day-to-day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role
You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking and, where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
