Gilmerton Care Home, located in the peaceful south of Edinburgh, offers exceptional residential, nursing, dementia, and respite care. Housekeeping Assistant Contract

  • £12.71 per hour
  • Either 30 hours per week or Bank contract available
  • Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full-time contract)

Working as part of the wider team, you will help maintain excellent standards of cleanliness across resident bedrooms, communal areas, and shared spaces while ensuring the home remains organised, safe, and welcoming at all times. Alongside supporting daily housekeeping routines, you may also assist with laundry services, helping ensure clothing, bedding, and personal belongings are handled carefully and returned promptly to residents.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining excellent standards

  • Ability to support both housekeeping and laundry responsibilities where required
