Housekeeping Manager

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Manager to lead our housekeeping team at Sandymouth Holiday Resort.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards, has strong leadership skills, and is passionate about creating a first-class guest experience.

As Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations across the resort, ensuring all accommodation and guest areas are maintained to the highest standards. This is a hands-on management role, requiring excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced holiday resort environment.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working variable days including weekends and bank holidays, in line with the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day housekeeping operations across all accommodation and public areas
  • Lead, manage, motivate, and support the housekeeping team to consistently deliver high standards
  • Plan and manage staff rotas to ensure effective staffing levels, coverage, and productivity
  • Conduct regular inspections of accommodation and public areas to ensure company standards are maintained
  • Ensure all lodges and accommodation are cleaned, prepared, and ready within required turnaround times
  • Take a hands-on approach during busy periods and support the housekeeping team when required
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning products, linen, and housekeeping supplies and place orders as necessary
  • Train, support, and develop housekeeping team members
  • Manage team performance and address any issues appropriately and professionally
  • Respond to guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related issues promptly
  • Work closely with the Maintenance and Reception teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Ensure all health & safety, COSHH, hygiene, and company procedures are followed
  • Maintain accurate records, including cleaning audits, stock and inventory records, and team performance
  • Help drive continuous improvements in housekeeping standards, efficiency, and guest satisfaction

Additional Information

This is a full-time, permanent position based at Sandymouth Holiday Resort.

The role requires flexibility to work variable days, including weekends and bank holidays, in line with business needs.

The position is both operational and supervisory and will involve supporting the housekeeping team on the ground when required. This may include periods of physical activity such as walking around the resort, inspecting accommodation, checking standards, and assisting the team during busy changeover days.
