Description

As a Porter at Skibo, you'll help create an exceptional experience for our members and guests through attentive, discreet, and professional service.

Supporting both our Front of House and Housekeeping teams, you'll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Club by caring for luggage, maintaining guest areas, assisting with operational tasks, and responding to member requests with warmth and efficiency.

About The Role

As a Porter you will:

  • Report to the Housekeeping department and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the castle, lodges and estate.
  • Deliver a warm professional welcome to all members and guests.
  • Handle guest luggage with care ensuring efficient arrivals, departures and transfers across the estate.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and work orders, delivering exceptional services at all times.
  • Support Housekeeping by transporting linen, supplies and equipment between guest areas, pantries, the laundry and lodges.
  • Maintain pantry areas by removing linen, recycling and rubbish while keeping guest supplies fully stocked.
  • Receive and distribute Housekeeping deliveries and assist with stock movements across the estate.
  • Prepare, light and maintain fires throughout the Castle and Lodges.
  • Assist with seasonal set-up and storage of outdoor furniture and cushions.
  • Report maintenance issues and Health and Safety concerns promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with Housekeeping colleagues, providing clear handovers and supporting the team to deliver the exceptional standards expected at Skibo.

About You

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a high-end customer service or hospitality environment (4/5* preferred)
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  • You're a team-player and enjoy working alongside colleagues in what can be a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and in a timely manner.
  • Clean full driving license
