The Glasgow Marriott Hotel is looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our busy and friendly Housekeeping team.

With 303 bedrooms, extensive conference facilities and a busy city-centre operation, there is always something happening here. We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in high standards and wants to develop their career in hospitality.

This could be the perfect opportunity if you're currently working as a Senior Room Attendant, Team Leader or experienced Room Attendant and are ready to take your next step into a supervisory role.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you'll help lead the team and make sure our bedrooms and public areas are clean, comfortable and ready for our guests.

Your Day Will Include

  • Supervising, supporting and motivating the Housekeeping team
  • Allocating rooms and organising workloads to meet the needs of the day
  • Inspecting bedrooms, corridors and public areas to ensure they meet Marriott standards
  • Checking room status and working with Front Office to resolve discrepancies
  • Reporting and following up maintenance issues with Engineering
  • Supporting the training and development of new and existing team members
  • Coaching the team to deliver great service and maintain high standards
  • Completing daily paperwork, reports and handovers
  • Making sure health, safety and hotel procedures are followed
  • Helping create a positive and supportive working environment within the team

This is a hands-on role, so you'll be working alongside the team as well as supervising them.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is reliable, organised and confident working with people.

You'll Ideally Have

  • Previous hotel housekeeping experience
  • Experience supervising or supporting a team, or a strong desire to take your first step into leadership
  • Good attention to detail and pride in your work
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to organise your own workload and support others
  • A positive and flexible attitude
  • The ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods

Once you're established in the role, you'll have the opportunity to complete Person on Duty (Duty Manager) training, giving you experience across the wider hotel operation. Once trained, you'll also have the opportunity to cover Duty Manager shifts, which are paid at an enhanced hourly rate.
