Housekeeping Supervisor
30 hours per week, weekend work
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring exceptional service standards while leading and supporting a dedicated team. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, organization, and guest satisfaction across all areas of our facility. - Supervise and coordinate the overall operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring all service standards and sequences of service are consistently upheld
- Lead, train, and mentor housekeeping staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a supportive team culture that promotes quality service and professional development
- Conduct inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and equipment to verify cleanliness, maintenance standards, and proper repair; communicate areas for improvement to team members
- Collaborate closely with Front Office and other department managers to coordinate services and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and adherence to established protocols
- Perform housekeeping duties as needed, including deep cleaning projects and assisting staff during high-volume periods to demonstrate commitment and support, working closely with Housekeeping Manager to ensure all duties are completed

Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and colleagues at all levels
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proactive, positive, and energetic attitude with a genuine passion for hospitality and guest service excellence
- Knowledge of housekeeping standards, cleaning protocols, and best practices in the hospitality industry
- Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation compliance requirements (COSHH, fire safety, and related regulations)
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities, schedules, and operational demands
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to organizational culture and procedures
- High level of empathy and emotional intelligence when working with diverse teams and guests
- Resilience and ability to maintain composure and professionalism
- At least 1 year's experience in hospitality
