Are you passionate about creating welcoming spaces and delivering great guest experiences? Do you take pride in your work and enjoy keeping beautiful environments spotless and inviting? The Hope & Anchor is looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to join our friendly team. You’ll play an important role in ensuring our pub, restaurant and guest accommodation are always presented to the highest standards, helping every guest feel comfortable from the moment they arrive.

About the Role

As a Housekeeper, you’ll help keep the Hope & Anchor looking its best every day. From preparing our guest rooms to maintaining the cleanliness of our public spaces, your work will help create the warm and welcoming atmosphere our guests love. Shifts will be based around mornings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Room Cleaning
    • Refreshing and preparing our hotel rooms to a high standard, ensuring every guest enjoys a comfortable and relaxing stay.
  • Public Area Cleaning
    • Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the pub, restaurant, and shared guest areas.
  • Attention to Detail
    • Making sure every space is well presented, from bedrooms and bathrooms to corridors and guest facilities.
  • Team Support
    • Working closely with the wider team to ensure the venue is ready for service and that guests receive a great experience throughout their visit.

The Hope & Anchor is a beautiful riverside pub, restaurant & inn nestled in the heart of Ross-On-Wye with multiple dining options for customers including a traditional pub bar and a modern cocktail bar, two restaurants, a riverside hut serving those on the go, and a spacious garden with outdoor seating including a Bandstand and all-weather tent area, both of which can house entertainment. We also have 12 beautiful recently refurbished riverside en-suite rooms available, with breakfast included and served in the pub.

Having joined the Country House Weddings portfolio in 2020, we are backed by over 30 years of experience when it comes to catering, customer service, and event planning and management. Giving our customers the peace of mind that they will be well looked after during their time with us.

Our fantastic team is made up of expert chefs, enthusiastic bar and wait staff, experienced managers, and dedicated housekeepers, all of which provide the best service day in and day out across all areas of our venue.
