Job Title: Housing Asset Surveying Manager

Location: London & Southern region (remote working)
Salary: £45,000–£55,000 (dependent experience) + excellent benefits

The Opportunity

A global consultancy in the built environment sector is expanding its southern team and is seeking a Housing Asset Surveying Manager to support its growing property consultancy team that is focused primarily on servicing social housing clients. Following a successful 2026, which saw the business expand into new sectors and introduce additional service lines, the property consultancy team is entering an exciting period of investment offering opportunity for progression through to Partner level. This role has come about due to several promotions within the business.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Housing Surveyor to join our Property Consultancy team. The team delivers a wide range of housing asset management, compliance, stock condition surveying and EPC services to clients across London and the South of England.

This role is responsible for leading field operations, managing survey teams, ensuring high-quality data collection.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Team Leadership

  • Recruit, brief and coordinate surveyors for fieldwork projects.
  • Plan and manage pilot surveys to test systems and processes.
  • Provide leadership, support and quality assurance to survey teams.

Operational Management

  • Oversee fieldwork delivery and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Support the setup and testing of data collection systems and mobile devices.
  • Conduct site audits, re-inspections and quality assurance checks.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary contact for clients and field teams.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues and manage risks.
  • Attend and lead client meetings, providing regular updates on delivery and performance.

Technical & Professional Expertise

  • Undertake stock condition surveys and energy assessments where required.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, HHSRS requirements and industry best practice.
  • Act as Lead Surveyor and DEA on new projects, with training provided where required.

  • Strong knowledge of stock condition surveys and HHSRS (including all 21 hazards). Knowledge of Awaab’s Law and its implications for damp and mould compliance.
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
  • Competent user of Excel and mobile data capture systems.
  • DEA qualification
