Our Extra Care schemes support older people living in their own homes by providing a warm and friendly housing management service.
We have a permanent, full-time opportunity for a Housing Assistant at our Extra Care Scheme in Ruislip.
About the role
Reporting into the Extra Care Scheme Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a safe, welcoming and high-quality living environment for our residents. Acting as a first point of contact, you will provide advice and support on tenancy management, repairs and rent enquiries, ensuring residents receive excellent customer service and are connected with the right specialist teams when needed.
You will build positive relationships with residents, respond to concerns and complaints in a timely manner, and work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and external partners to ensure resident issues are resolved effectively.

You will also help maintain a safe and compliant scheme by carrying out routine health and safety checks, supporting safeguarding procedures and completing relevant incident reporting. Through proactive communication and a resident-focused approach, you will contribute to creating a supportive community where residents feel safe, valued and well informed.
You will also be able to demonstrate these essential skills:
- Experience of working with customers and acting on their feedback to continuously improve service quality and outcomes.
- Strong team player with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Demonstrates a commitment to high standards, with a focus on performance and excellence.
- Positive, proactive, and enthusiastic approach, with the ability to use initiative and adapt to changing priorities.
- Good level of IT skills and working knowledge of standard business systems.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good administration and organisational skills.
- Basic understanding of Health & Safety requirements & best practice.
