We would welcome applications for a Housing Assistant (Tenancy) post, based within the Housing Management Department.

Bolsover District Council is a dynamic and ambitious organisation that takes pride in delivering excellent services to our community whilst driving economic growth and environmental sustainability for the district.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, forward-looking Housing Management Department. As a result of a recent internal promotion within the department, there is an opportunity to apply for a Housing Assistant post.

To be successful you will need:

  • Excellent and effective verbal and written communication skills in order to deal with the public face to face or on the telephone.
  • The ability to be diplomatic, resilient and enthusiastic working to targets and strict deadlines
  • The ability to advise customers on Housing related issues.
  • A knowledge of Housing legislation.
  • The ability to keep accurate computer and paper records
  • The ability to work within a team environment using own initiative and displaying a responsible and flexible attitude

The role of the Housing Assistant is based primarily at The Arc, Clowne but there will be a need to travel within the district and work out of one of the area-based Contact Centres as necessary.
