Are you ready to be part of a growing organisation that puts people first?

At Hilldale Housing Association, we’re transforming lives through high-quality, tailored housing solutions for those who need them most.

About Us

Since our founding in 2009, Hilldale Housing Association (Hilldale) has grown from providing specialist accommodation in Wigan to supporting over 1,000 people across 58 local authorities. As a registered provider since 2013, we specialise in bespoke housing solutions for individuals with complex needs, including learning disabilities and mental health challenges.

Our mission is clear: to provide homes for people who need support to live independently, offering stability and dignity in communities across the country.

The Role

We are aiming to grow the number of social homes we operate as Specialist Supported Housing and this includes both freehold and leased-based schemes.

As a Housing Business Development Officer, this is a brand new role so you will have a real opportunity to shape the role. Reporting to our Head of Property and Development you will work closely with them to support the appraisal and wider due diligence of new homes for future tenants, as well as carrying out options appraisals on Hilldale’s existing property portfolio to ensure they remain a strategic fit for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with detailed options appraisals of existing leases, Service Level Agreements, and property matters, supporting the Executive to make recommendations to the Board.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders, including Head Landlords, Local Authorities, Care Providers, Developers, Contractors, Customers, and Funders, to support effective contract management, contract review, partnership arrangements, and property-related communications.
  • Understand policy and legislation and translate these into clear, practical procedures and working practices that support compliance and consistent service delivery.
  • Support the organisation in its readiness and success ahead of the implementation of the Support Housing Regulatory Oversight Act.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
