Housing Finance Officer – 5 Month Contract

Location: Kettering

Contract: Temporary (5 Months)

Pay: Bi-weekly


Summary

This temporary 5-month contract role is pivotal in providing administrative and financial support within the Housing Service. The Housing Finance Officer will manage financial inquiries, maintain accurate records, and support the tenancy team to ensure efficient income collection and service delivery. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of housing finance functions and ensuring high-quality service to residents.


Responsibilities

Finance & Inbox Management

  • Manage the Housing Finance inbox, ensuring timely responses to queries.
  • Handle incoming emails and correspondence related to housing finance.

Payments & Customer Contact

  • Process rent and other housing-related payments.
  • Professionally handle telephone calls and customer inquiries.
  • Provide accurate information and support to residents.

Administration & Systems

  • Log and update information on the housing management system.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity.
  • Manage incoming post and related tasks.

Team Support

  • Provide administrative support to the tenancy and housing teams.
  • Assist colleagues with ad hoc tasks as required.
  • Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Understanding of basic housing or finance processes.
  • Awareness of customer service principles.

Experience

  • Essential: Experience in an administrative or customer service role, handling emails, calls, and data entry, and working in a busy office environment.
  • Desirable: Experience within housing, local authority, or finance teams, and using housing management systems.
