Home, a place where you belong

Join us as a Housing Manager for leasehold income at Home Group, in our awesome new Income Collections team in the Central region. You’ll be our leasehold contact for income collection to ensure our income is maximised and arrears are managed. You’ll provide first class customer service, delivering our customer promise every day!

Working closely with our Housing Managers in the community and the leasehold team, you will be actively collecting leasehold charges. You will need to have experience of income collection. Come and showcase your skills! You’ll join our team with a real focus on leasehold income collection.

What You’ll Do

  • Be proactive in leasehold income recovery and account management, driving income collection and meeting performance targets while taking a relational and person-centred approach.
  • Work alongside our income housing managers and Financial Inclusion Partners to support customers and identify regional trends.
  • Work collaboratively with the leasehold team and other housing manager colleagues.
  • Work with housing managers on specific campaigns to reduce leasehold arrears, such as targeted work with customers in a locality, or where there is an increase in returned direct debits.
  • Be proactively working to commercially reduce debt within the region, with a positive impact for customers.

You have

  • A background in income protection & arrears management processes, either within the housing sector or alternative commercially driven sector.
  • Understanding of housing management, leasehold services, housing law, universal credit and housing benefit.
  • Experience of income and benefits knowledge to support our customers and our wider housing income collection team.
  • Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
  • Resilience to handle challenging situations, especially when dealing with complaints.

  • Temporary (12 months contract), full time (37.5hpw). There is some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview.
  • Covering our properties across Hertfordshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire areas. This is a hybrid role, but you will be mainly working from home. There may be occasions where you will need to go on site for a meeting or to visit a leaseholder.
  • Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers.
  • You need a vehicle insured for business use, and we pay your mileage.
  • You need an Enhanced DBS check that we pay for.
