Play a pivotal role in ensuring that residents of Wiltshire live in homes that meet their needs effectively!

Our Property and Support Service is looking for a Housing Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the Housing Occupational Therapy team, consisting of Occupational Therapists and Assistants.

As a Housing Occupational Therapist Assistant, you'll closely support the wider team by advising and guiding customers requiring home adaptations or alternative suitable accommodation, collaborating with the Council's Adult Social Care, Home Improvement Agency, Housing Management Service and Registered Social Landlords.

We will look to you to be passionate about improving client’s well-being, working with other like-minded individuals whose aim is to deliver high standards of assessment to support the client in their home. You should be self-motivated and able to work on your own initiative.

Previous occupational therapy assessment experience would be of an advantage, although we are willing to consider applications from individuals who have worked in similar roles.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
