Housing Officer
Stockton on Tees (Hybrid Working)
£37,288 - £39,523 per annum plus Essential Car User
We are looking for a proactive, motivated and customer-focused Housing Officer to join our Housing Services team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced housing professional who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and making a positive difference to the lives of our customers and the communities we serve.
As a Housing Officer, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, comprehensive housing management service across a designated neighbourhood.
You will work closely with customers and partner agencies to sustain tenancies, maximise rental income, tackle anti-social behaviour, and create safe, sustainable communities, whilst ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulatory standards and organisational policies.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound professional judgement, and the ability to effectively manage a diverse and demanding caseload.

You will have:
- Experience of delivering a comprehensive housing management service within a social housing environment.
- A sound working knowledge of tenancy management, including rent collection, anti-social behaviour case management, tenancy sustainment and estate management.
- A proven ability to manage a varied caseload, balancing competing priorities while delivering excellent customer outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly, confidently and empathetically to a wide range of customers.
- Experience of working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes.
- A proactive approach to problem solving, with the confidence to make informed decisions and work independently.
