A housing association is looking for a passionate Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join its Customer Experience Team and help customers maintain their homes, live independently and thrive in their communities. This is a fixed term 12 month contract.
The Role
You will provide housing-related support to customers, including those who may be vulnerable or require additional assistance. Working closely with customers and partner agencies, you'll help people sustain their tenancies and achieve positive outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting new and existing tenants to maintain successful tenancies.
- Providing advice around rent arrears, repairs, property condition and anti-social behavior.
- Helping customers understand and comply with their tenancy agreements.
- Developing action plans and providing regular support.
- Acting as an advocate and helping customers access appropriate housing, health, welfare and community services.
- Building strong relationships with customers, colleagues and external agencies.
- Maintaining accurate records of support and outcomes.

About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting others and making a positive difference.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Experience of supporting people to achieve positive outcomes.
- A proactive and solution-focused approach.
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
- The ability to work effectively with a range of customers and partner organisations.
- A commitment to treating people with dignity, respect and compassion.
Experience in housing, support work, social care or community services would be beneficial, although transferable experience will be considered.
