The Role
We are looking for a Housing Officer to provide day-to-day housing management services for tenants living in specialised supported housing, helping to sustain tenancies and deliver a high-quality service.
- You will manage a range of housing management activities including tenancy sign-ups, void management, low-level anti-social behaviour, tenancy sustainment, tenancy breaches and ending tenancies.
- You will provide tenancy management services to tenants, dealing with low-level tenancy enforcement issues and liaising with the Community Safety Team to refer more complex cases where needed.
- You will also support other teams with income collection and additional works, such as aids and adaptations requests, and provide key information to the Supported Living Housing Manager for performance reporting.
- You will carry out regular property visits every 6 months, supporting the effective re-letting of void properties, monitor rechargeable repairs and help ensure housing schemes are managed in line with agreements, standards and service requirements.
- You will build effective relationships with tenants, support providers, referral agencies, commissioners, local authorities and internal teams, working collaboratively to resolve housing management issues and promote a positive image of Reside with Progress.
This is a flexible, home-based role covering Cardiff, Devon, Dorset, Somerset, Bournemouth, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, so regular travel across these areas will be required. Overnight stays may be required. The role would suit someone based centrally within the wider patch. There will also be a requirement to attend Group offices as and when required for training, face-to-face meetings and induction.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
