Housing Officer - 9-12 Month Maternity Cover
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-established housing organisation on a 9-12 month maternity cover contract. This role offers an excellent work-life balance through a 32-hour working week across four days, alongside a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Your New Role
You will be responsible for managing a varied housing management patch, delivering a high-quality service to tenants and customers. Duties will include:
- Tenancy management and sustainment
- Estate management
- Managing antisocial behaviour cases
- Resident engagement and tenancy support
- Arrears management and early intervention
- Working closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for tenants

What You'll Need to Succeed
- Recent and relevant Housing Officer experience
- Ability to manage a full housing management caseload independently
- Strong knowledge of housing legislation and best practice
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
What You'll Get in Return
- Grade 7 salary
- 9-12 month maternity cover contract
- Start date: 16th October
- 32 hours per week across a 4-day working week
- Hybrid working with 2 days from home and 2 days in the office
- Office based in East Lothian
