Housing Options Officer
📍 Remote | West Midlands
📄 6-Month Initial Contract
💰 £25-£30 per hour
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of homelessness applications, conducting assessments, and ensuring the Council meets its statutory duties under homelessness legislation. Working within a fast-paced service, you will
Required
- Previous experience working as a Housing Options Officer with a strong understanding of homelessness legislation, including the Housing Act 1996 and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
- Experience managing a caseload, conducting housing assessments and interviews, and making complex homelessness decisions.
- Ability to complete statutory housing duties, including issuing Section 184 decision letters and carrying out homelessness enquiries.

- Experience using the Jigsaw housing management system.
- Previous experience producing Personal Housing Plans (PHPs) and completing triage assessments within a local authority setting.
