Housing & Resident Engagement Manager

Are you an experienced housing professional who is enthusiastic about excellent services, resident voice and improving later-living communities? The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is looking for a Housing & Resident Engagement Manager to lead high-quality housing management and resident engagement services across our integrated retirement communities.

This is a key strategic role where you will help older people live independently, safely, and confidently, while ensuring residents have meaningful opportunities to influence the services that affect them.

You will provide leadership and direction for housing management, Enhanced Housing Management and Housing Related Support services, working closely with Regional Operations Managers, Location Managers, housing partners, and resident representatives to deliver coordinated, compliant, and cost-effective services.

You will also lead our approach to resident engagement, complaints oversight and landlord responsibilities as a Registered Provider, helping us listen well, respond consistently, and use resident feedback to improve services.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong experience in housing management, resident engagement, or a related social housing environment.
  • A good understanding of landlord responsibilities, tenancy management, complaints handling and social housing regulation.
  • The ability to build trusted relationships with residents, colleagues, partners, and external agencies.
  • Confidence working strategically while staying close to operational detail and resident experience.
  • A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to influence, advise and support teams across multiple locations.
  • A commitment to inclusive, resident-centred services that support independence, wellbeing, and positive outcomes for older people.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
