Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils,

Housing Services Assistant (Income)

Make a Difference Every Day

Are you passionate about helping people, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting residents to sustain their tenancies?

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Housing Services Assistant to join our Housing Services team. This is a rewarding role where you'll be at the heart of supporting tenants, managing income-related enquiries, recovering debt, and helping customers access the support they need to remain in their homes.

You'll be the first point of contact for many of our customers, providing advice, resolving enquiries, and working closely with colleagues across Housing Services to deliver positive outcomes for residents and communities.

Why This Role Matters

For many residents, a simple enquiry about rent, benefits, or tenancy matters can be a stressful and uncertain experience. As a Housing Services Assistant, you'll help turn that experience into a positive one.

Whether you're supporting a customer to understand their rent account, assisting someone struggling with financial challenges, coordinating support with colleagues, or helping recover debt fairly and effectively, your work will have a direct impact on people's lives and communities.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in more than just experience. We're looking for someone whose behaviours and values align with our commitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
