Housing Solicitor – Locum

Location: High Wycombe – Hybrid
Working Pattern: 2 days per week in the office
Rate: £55ph - £60ph (depending on experience)
Duration: Ongoing
Hours: Full-time, although condensed hours will be considered

A Housing Association based in High Wycombe is looking to appoint a Housing Solicitor on a locum basis to support their legal team.

The role will involve providing day-to-day housing law advice, with a particular focus on Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) litigation. You will manage your own caseload and provide advice and representation across a range of housing matters.

The Role

  • Managing a caseload of housing and ASB matters.
  • Providing legal advice to internal housing teams.
  • Handling ASB litigation, including injunctions and possession proceedings.
  • Drafting pleadings, notices, statements, and other legal documentation.
  • Advising on tenancy and landlord & tenant issues.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, tenants, and external parties.
  • Attending court when required – this is sporadic rather than a regular requirement.

About You

We are looking for a qualified Housing Solicitor with solid experience of housing law, ideally including ASB litigation and court work.

We are open to candidates from a range of backgrounds, including private practice, Housing Associations, and local government. The key requirement is strong, relevant housing experience and the ability to manage a caseload independently. The successful candidate will be comfortable providing practical legal advice, managing their own caseload, and working closely with operational housing teams.

The role offers hybrid working, with just 2 days per week required in the High Wycombe office. Condensed hours will also be considered.
