Housing Standards Officer (DHH134)
Grade I (SCP 28 – 32) £40,444 - £44,253 per annum
37 hours per week, Fixed-Term - 18 Months contract

The Renters Rights Act marks a step change in the protection of private rented tenants and we are looking for the right person to help us make a difference through engagement and targeted enforcement.
You will be providing both a proactive and reactive customer-focused service, delivering projects and carrying out statutory duties relating to:
- Licensing of houses in multiple occupation
- Housing inspections and enforcement
- Housing assistance and advice
- Empty homes
- Energy efficiency
- Tenancy relations
- Mobile homes
About You
You will be:
- Candidates with an Environmental Health or other suitable qualification in housing or built environment.
- Candidates must have experience in property inspection or be able to demonstrate practical skills in this area of work.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with the public and a range of professionals including report writing and drafting of legal notices.
- Flexible candidates who can work on their own initiative and as part of a team to deliver excellent services for our residents.
