Make a Difference in Housing Services
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Housing Support Officer to join our Housing Management team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and supporting housing team and residents to sustain successful tenancies.
As a Housing Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Housing Team to deliver high-quality housing management services to council tenants, leaseholders, and our residents in general. You will help ensure that residents receive a responsive, efficient, and professional service while supporting the smooth running of housing management operations through effective administration and coordination.
About the Role
Working closely with the Head of Service and the wider Housing Management team, you will provide vital administrative and operational support that contributes to resident satisfaction, trust, and positive neighbourhood outcomes.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, processing housing management transactions, responding to customer enquiries, and supporting housing officers in delivering services that put residents first.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Housing Management team.
- Maintain accurate housing records and databases, ensuring compliance with data quality standards.
- Process correspondence, reports, case updates, and other housing management documentation if need be.
- Assist with the coordination of resident engagement activities and communications.
- Monitor and update housing management systems to ensure information is current and accurate.
- Support the team in meeting service targets, performance measures, and customer service standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner services to resolve resident issues effectively.

About You
We are looking for an organised and motivated individual who has:
- Experience of providing high-quality administrative support in a customer-focused environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Experience of handling customer enquiries and resolving issues effectively.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy when managing records and data.
- Strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications and case management systems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to delivering excellent services to residents and communities.
