Housing Support Worker x 4.

Salary: £13.45 per hour.

Location: Enniskillen, Northern Ireland.

Contract/Hours: Casual - pick and choose when you work, around your study, family, retirement or home life!

About the service

Our Rossorry Grove Supported Accommodation is a purpose built 13 apartment supported accommodation service for young people who were homeless or at risk of becoming so. We work with young people aged 16 to 21 years, many of whom have been in care and / or struggle with significant mental health concerns and substance misuse issues.

Each young person will have their own self-contained flat and staff work closely with them to support their development of independent living skills and enabling them to move safely into the community.


How you'll help to create brighter futures

As a Housing Support Worker on a casual contract, you'll build and maintain professional working relationships with our young people and their families, by providing emotional, social and practical support. You'll work as part of a fantastic, committed team to provide a high quality and person-centred care to our young people and their families, ensuring the views and needs are heard and responded to by promoting communication and participation.

Working in residential care can be extremely rewarding. Our aim is to give every young person we work with the support and guidance to reach their potential by championing their aspirations for a positive future and continuing to promote their independence.


Some key responsibilities of the Housing Support Worker(casual) role are:

  • Supporting young people to achieve their potential.
  • Establishing relationships and links within the community to assist our young people and their families.
  • Assisting the Residential Workers to support the young people.
  • Contributing to care plans, support plans and risk assessments.
  • Carrying out 1-2-1 work with the young people to help them with cooking, budgeting and looking for jobs etc. and attending appointments with them.

Let's talk about you

  • Diploma Level 3 in Youth Work or a Social Care-related qualification, however we are very open to those with equivalent experience.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people aged 16 – 21 in a formal setting.
  • Registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council (NISCC) or the willingness to register.
  • Good IT skills.
  • UK Driving licence and access to a car would be preferred.
