Role Description
The Housing Support Worker role is a full-time, on-site position based in Birmingham.
The Housing Support Worker will provide person-centered support to residents in supported accommodation, helping them develop life skills, manage tenancies, and move toward independent living.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Conducting regular keywork sessions
- Creating and reviewing support plans
- Assisting with benefits and budgeting
- Supporting access to health, social care, and community services
The role also involves:
- Promoting safeguarding and resident safety
- Monitoring wellbeing
- Recording accurate case notes
- Liaising with external agencies and landlords

The Housing Support Worker will contribute to a positive, respectful environment, encourage resident engagement, and adhere to organizational policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Full training provided.
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust and work collaboratively with residents and partners.
- Candidates should possess basic Technical Support skills, including use of digital tools for record-keeping, email, and online resources.
- Ability to work independently, maintain professional boundaries, manage time effectively, and handle challenging situations with resilience and empathy is essential.
- Must have access to a car and a full driver's license.
