Housing Support Worker - Morley Road
Salary: £26,490 rising to £28,795
Contract: Permanent, full time. Working days only across a 7 day rota (no bank holidays or nights).
Location: Morley Road, Doncaster
Main Purpose:
Provide high-quality housing and support services to help people sustain tenancies, develop independence, and achieve personal goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support people with moving in and out of accommodation.
- Deliver person-centred support plans, achieving agreed outcomes within set timescales.
- Build service users’ skills, confidence, and independence.
- Work with partner agencies to enhance service delivery.
- Support a safe, clean, and well-maintained living environment.
- Provide guidance on independent living skills, budgeting, and maximising income.
- Assist with benefit claims and rent payments.
- Ensure people understand and comply with occupancy agreements.
- Monitor property use, occupancy, and utilities; address issues promptly.
- Identify and respond to non-compliance, escalating serious concerns.
- Carry out, record, and review risk assessments and support plans.
- Support conflict resolution between people and neighbours.
- Assist with activities that promote engagement and development.
- Maintain accurate records in line with audit and confidentiality requirements.
- Build effective relationships with external organisations.
- Participate in 7 day rotas with other team members to ensure people are supported at weekends.

General Duties:
- Attend training, team meetings, and supervision.
- Follow Health and Safety requirements and all organisational policies.
- Undertake additional duties as required by senior management.
Person Specification:
- Strong knowledge of the welfare benefits system.
- Experience in risk assessment and support planning.
- Experience working with vulnerable adults/supported living.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Experience working with Local Authorities and health/social care professionals.
- Health and Social Care qualification (desirable).
