How will I be supporting the work of the Trust?
You will play a key leadership role in supporting the Trust to deliver a high-quality, customer-focused Housing service. You will lead and develop the frontline Housing Management Team, ensuring residents receive effective support while helping to build sustainable tenancies, thriving communities and financially sustainable services.
What does this involve?
- Leading and developing the Housing Team – supervising, supporting and mentoring Housing Officers and the Tenancy Sustainment Officer, encouraging high standards, continuous development and effective performance.
- Putting customers at the heart of the service – ensuring the Customer Charter and service standards are consistently delivered, responding to complaints and using customer feedback to improve services.
- Supporting sustainable homes and communities – providing guidance on tenancy management, antisocial behaviour and tenancy sustainment, while working proactively to prevent failed tenancies and support resident independence.
- Managing homes, income and resources effectively – overseeing voids and lettings, rent and service charge income, arrears and budgets, ensuring homes are re-let efficiently and services provide value for money.
- Working collaboratively to improve outcomes – building strong relationships with residents, colleagues, local authorities and partner organisations, using performance information and shared learning to continually improve the Housing service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
