We have an exciting opportunity for two Housing Team Leader's to join our Homelessness and Supported Housing Service, leading within our Temporary Accommodation service across the city.

Housing Team Leader - Temporary Accommodation Team (South)
As Housing Team Leader for the Temporary Accommodation Team in the south of the city, you will lead a frontline team responsible for the day-to-day housing management of temporary accommodation.
You will ensure that individuals and families placed in temporary accommodation receive a safe, responsive and customer-focused service at what can be one of the most challenging times in their lives. You will support your team to manage accommodation effectively, respond to residents’ needs and help customers move towards a more settled housing future.
You will need to be a visible and supportive leader who can balance the needs of residents with the effective management of accommodation. You will be confident making operational decisions, managing competing priorities and supporting employees working in a busy and sometimes challenging environment.
Housing Team Leader - Accommodation (Health and Safety/Customer Service)
As Housing Team Leader for Accommodation, Health and Safety and Customer Service, you will lead a varied team that includes our Customer Service Assistants and employees undertaking housing management and health and safety functions across the service.
You will provide clear leadership and oversight to ensure that our accommodation remains safe, well managed, compliant and responsive to the needs of residents. You will also be responsible for ensuring that customers receive a professional, helpful and consistent service when contacting or visiting us.

Working for us
Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
