Network Engineer – HPC & Low Latency Infrastructure

Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: Up to $500,000

We’re partnering with a global leader in high-frequency trading to hire an experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, build, and scale the next generation of high-performance network infrastructure powering mission-critical trading environments.

You’ll play a key role in shaping network architecture, delivering large-scale data centre solutions, and working alongside world-class engineers to build infrastructure that operates at the cutting edge of technology and finance.

What you'll be doing:

  • Design, deploy, and optimise large-scale data centre and HPC network environments.
  • Build and support high-performance, low-latency infrastructure across global locations.
  • Drive improvements around network scalability, performance, reliability, and capacity planning.
  • Automate network operations through scripting and tooling improvements.
  • Troubleshoot complex Layer 2/Layer 3 networking issues in highly distributed environments.
  • Develop technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers while influencing future network strategy.

What we're looking for:

  • 10+ years’ experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale or data centre networks.
  • Strong expertise across BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, spine-leaf architectures, and multicast.
  • Experience with high-performance switching platforms such as Arista, Cisco, NVIDIA/Cumulus, or SONiC.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture, capacity planning, and large-scale infrastructure design.
  • Exposure to network automation using Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
