We are looking to appoint a business admin apprentice to join our HR team. You will comprehensively provide administrative support in the overall management of the HR operations and the delivery of strategic objectives to ensure that the organisation runs smoothly.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- To effectively support the recruitment and selection process in line with the organisation's Safer Recruitment Policy and ensure that the standardised process is maintained
- Support in monitoring job recruitment adverts and following up on interested applicants
- Assisting in arranging interviews for suitable applicants, sending all relevant correspondence and ensuring the interview room is ready
- Support in preparing all recruitment packs and ensuring that they are sent
- Support in obtaining and verifying references obtained for new employees
- To support in auditing employees' HR files for compliance when required
- To organise meetings when requested, attending, and taking accurate minutes as required, also ensure minutes are typed and given to staff to sign
- To make sure that the HR work diary is properly managed, organised with meeting schedules logged in correctly
- To ensure that all processing new starters HR files are organised, with file slips and documents obtained are put in the right order in readiness for processing
- To ensure that employees' DBS online update checks are carried out, recorded promptly, and to highlight any DBS that requires renewing and ensure that employees' renewed DBS information is recorded on the DBS matrix / HR file
- Ensure that all leavers' files are removed from the current employee’s cabinet and delete their details from the staff contact list
- Maintain, update staff contact list and distribute it to the necessary people
- To effectively provide general administrative and clerical support, including mailing, scanning and photocopying documents, etc.
- Using computer systems - entering data and using programmes such as Microsoft Word, Excel and school management systems
