HR Admin Apprenticeship
Do you want to begin your career in HR? You will work alongside professionals in the industry and gain valuable experience for the future.
Requirements
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation (e.g., MS Office or equivalent packages).
- Able to choose the most appropriate IT solution to suit the business problem.
- Able to update and review databases, record information and produce data analysis.
- Produces accurate records and documents (emails, letters, files, payments, reports, proposals).
- Makes recommendations for improvements and presents solutions to management.
- Drafts correspondence, writes reports, and reviews others' work.
- Maintains records and files, handles confidential information in compliance with procedures.
- Coaches others in required processes.
- Exercises proactivity and good judgement.
- Makes effective decisions based on sound reasoning.
- Deals with challenges in a mature way.
- Seeks advice from experienced team members when appropriate.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships within their own team and across the organisation.
- Demonstrates ability to influence and challenge appropriately.
- Becomes a role model to peers and team members, developing coaching skills.
- Demonstrates good communication skills (face-to-face, telephone, writing, digital platforms).
- Uses appropriate communication channels.
- Demonstrates agility and confidence in communications.
- Answers questions from inside and outside the organisation, representing the organisation or department.
- Completes tasks to a high standard.
- Demonstrates the necessary level of expertise and applies it to continuously improve work.

- Desirable: GCSE in English (grade 4) and Maths (grade 4).
- Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.

Responsibilities
- First point of contact for the HR team.
- Responsible for the onboarding process of new starters.
- Ensures all new starters have valid Right-to-work and compliance documents.
- Manages the onboarding inbox, responding to enquiries.
- Assists with inductions for new starters.
- Manages the HR inbox responding to queries or requests from staff.
- Updates the firm’s organisation chart and HR’s section on the firm’s website.
- Produces contracts of employment.
- Obtains references for new starters.
- Provides references for leavers.
- Updates the HR system with employee information.
- Runs reports from the HR database.
