HR Administrator (Maternity Cover | 6+ Month Fixed-Term Contract)
Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge | Up to £28,500 DOE | 5 Days Per Week On-Site
Looking for your next administration opportunity within a fast-paced healthcare environment?
We're seeking a highly organised and proactive HR Administrator to join our team at Addenbrooke's Hospital on a 6+ month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Supporting a large healthcare operation, you'll play a key role in delivering an excellent employee experience, coordinating recruitment activities, maintaining HR records, and supporting managers with day-to-day workforce administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee lifecycle administration, including starters, contract changes, transfers, promotions and leavers.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in line with GDPR requirements.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities, including interview coordination, pre-employment checks and new starter inductions.
- Monitor and report on absence management, probation reviews and mandatory training compliance.
- Process payroll-related changes and liaise with payroll teams to resolve queries.
- Act as a first point of contact for HR-related enquiries from managers and colleagues.
- Support employee relations processes through administration and meeting note-taking where required.
- Assist with audits, compliance reviews and governance requirements.

What We're Looking For
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills with a professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Previous HR administration experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Experience within healthcare, NHS or support services environments would be beneficial.
