HR Admin Team Leader
Salary: c. £28,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)

As a HR Admin Team Leader you'll play an integral part of the HR team. The HR Admin Team Leader will work alongside HR colleagues and lead and manage a team of HR Administrators. The post holder will lead on improvements in current administrative practices within HR, provide first line support to colleagues across the society with their HR queries and will maintain high standards of data accuracy and compliance.
What the role will look like:
- Manage end-to-end HR administration processes, including starters, leavers, contractual changes, colleague lifecycle events, and payroll-related transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and completion within agreed timescales.
- Maintain and administer all HR systems and employee records, including payroll, recruitment, learning management, benefits, performance, and HR information systems, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
- Provide first-line HR support to colleagues and managers, responding to HR enquiries via phone, email, and other channels, resolving issues where appropriate and escalating complex queries as required.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex HR administration matters, identifying solutions, providing guidance, and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
- Lead, support, and develop the HR Administration team, conducting regular check-ins, team meetings, workload management, and day-to-day supervision to ensure a high-performing service.
- Administer reward, recognition, pensions, payroll inputs, and employee benefits schemes, ensuring accurate processing and compliance with legislation, policy, and internal procedures.
- Produce and analyse scheduled and ad-hoc reports, providing accurate management information and insights through the interrogation of HR systems to support decision making.
- Identify process improvements and mitigate operational risks, investigating root causes of inefficiencies, implementing preventative measures, and supporting the successful adoption of policy and process changes.
- Collaborate across HR specialist functions to support HR projects and policy implementation, including recruitment, payroll, reward, learning and development, and employee relations initiatives, while providing administrative support for key HR programmes and benefits

What you will bring to the role:
- Ability to work collaboratively both within the HR Division and across the business.
- Previous Administration management experience.
- Previous exposure of a HR Administrative or Shared Services setting is desirable.
- Ideally have previous payroll experience would be an advantage.
- CIPD Level 3/5 qualification or relevant HR qualification is desirable.
- Experience of supervisory or team leadership experience ideally across a HR team.
- A strong understanding of HR administrative processes and employee lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
