About Us

Gold Care Homes is a growing care provider with homes across the UK. Our HR team works closely with our operational teams to support our employees, maintain high standards and continually improve the way we work.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Administrator who wants to develop their HR career and gain broader exposure across recruitment and onboarding, compliance, payroll, reporting and HR projects.

If you have previous HR administration experience, are highly organised and enjoy working in a busy and varied HR environment, we would love to hear from you. This is a varied role supporting our care homes and Support Office across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll be a key point of contact for managers and employees, helping us deliver an accurate, responsive and professional HR service.

Responsibility & Accountability

  • Managing the HR inbox and responding to day-to-day HR queries.
  • Preparing contracts, offer letters, changes to terms, references and other HR correspondence.
  • Maintaining accurate employee records, HR systems and trackers.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding and induction for new starters.
  • Monitoring probation periods and ensuring managers complete the required documentation.
  • Supporting HR compliance checks, including Right to Work, DBS, visas and NMC PINs.
  • Completing employee file audits and following up outstanding documentation.
  • Processing employee changes, family-friendly leave and leaver documentation.
  • Liaising with Payroll regarding starters, leavers, sickness, employee changes and payroll queries.
  • Supporting the monitoring of annual leave, AWOL cases and other HR processes.
  • Coordinating exit interviews, leaver surveys and new starter surveys.
  • Producing and maintaining HR reports and management information.
  • Supporting HR projects, acquisitions and TUPE administration.
  • Supporting employee recognition initiatives across Gold Care Homes.
  • Ensuring confidential employee information is handled securely and in line with UK GDPR.

What we're looking for

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience working as an HR Administrator or in a similar HR support position.
  • Practical experience of HR administration across the employee lifecycle, including starters, employee changes and leavers.
  • Experience preparing HR documentation such as contracts, offer letters, references and changes to terms.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confidence using HR systems, Microsoft Office, spreadsheets and trackers.
  • Ability to manage a busy workload and competing deadlines.
  • Professionalism when dealing with confidential and sensitive employee information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to follow up outstanding actions.
  • Ability to work independently while recognising when matters need to be escalated.

Desirable

  • Experience working within healthcare, social care or another multi-site organisation.
  • CIPD qualification or currently working towards one.
  • Experience supporting HR compliance and employee file audits.
  • Experience liaising with Payroll.
