About The Role

HAYS is partnering with a well-established organization operating across the North West, with offices in Derry and Donegal, to recruit an experienced HR Administrator for a 3-month temporary assignment. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong administrative background to contribute to a dynamic HR team. The successful candidate will provide vital administrative support across a broad spectrum of people-related activities, ensuring the smooth operation of HR processes and maintaining accurate employee records. This position is ideal for someone seeking to gain valuable experience within a busy HR environment and develop their skills in HR administration.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess previous experience in HR Administration, Personnel Administration, or a similar role. Strong organizational and administrative skills are essential, along with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to handle employee queries effectively. Experience in maintaining confidential employee records and familiarity with GDPR compliance is highly desirable. While a CIPD qualification or working towards one would be advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

The HR Administrator will be responsible for a variety of duties to support the HR function, including:

  • Maintaining and updating employee records and HR databases to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Preparing employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding documentation for new hires.
  • Coordinating onboarding and induction processes for new employees to facilitate smooth integration.
  • Processing leaver administration, including updating employee files and ensuring proper exit procedures.
  • Supporting recruitment activities by arranging interviews, managing candidate correspondence, and maintaining applicant tracking systems.
  • Recording and monitoring annual leave, sickness absence, and other employee-related data.
  • Assisting with payroll administration and processing employee changes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Responding to employee inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and general HR support.
  • Supporting training administration by maintaining training records and coordinating training sessions.
  • Producing HR reports and ensuring all documentation complies with GDPR and company policies.
