HR Administration Team Leader
Client delivery focused HR operations leadership role, responsible for leading and developing the HR Administration team to deliver accurate, efficient and customer-focused service to stakeholders across the employee lifecycle.
You will own HR administration query management, oversee day-to-day HR administration services, and drive service quality through KPI and SLA management, data accuracy and continuous improvement.

- Location: To be based from our Head Office in Diss, Norfolk
- Contract: Permanent
- Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
- Salary: Up to £43,000, dependent on skills and experience

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the HR Administration team — coach, build capability and create a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement
- Manage team capacity and priorities — ensure workloads are balanced to consistently meet agreed service levels and SLAs
- Own HR administration query management — act as the first point of escalation and ensure queries are resolved accurately, efficiently and within SLA targets
- Oversee employee lifecycle administration — ensure timely and accurate delivery across:
- Onboarding
- Contract generation
- Contract amendments
- Probation administration
- Leave & absence administration
- Employee changes (e.g. flexible working requests)
- Leavers
- Right to Work and visa compliance
- Monitor performance and reporting — track KPIs, service levels and query volumes, identify trends and implement corrective actions where required
- Maintain compliance and audit readiness — ensure HR records, contracts and processes remain compliant, including GDPR and data protection, file audits and internal control
- Drive process improvement — review and standardise processes, develop SOPs, guidance, templates and process maps, and support HR systems testing and improvements

What We're Looking For
- Strong HR administration background with a comprehensive understanding of the employee lifecycle
- Leadership experience in HR Shared Services, HR Operations or HR Administration (typically 3–5 years' experience). CIPD Level 7 is highly desirable
- Proven people management skills – experienced in coaching, developing capability, and managing performance within large, fast-paced organisations, with a strong track record of leading and supporting sizeable teams.
- Service delivery mindset — experienced in managing SLAs, KPIs, query volumes and first-time resolution performance
- Strong HR operations knowledge including contracts, employee changes, leave processes and Right to Work/visa compliance
- Excellent data and compliance focus — comfortable maintaining data accuracy, supporting audits and working to GDPR/data protection requirements
- Confident communicator able to build strong relationships with HR colleagues and key business stakeholders
- Continuous improvement approach — able to identify root causes, simplify processes and drive practical operational improvements
