HR Administrator – Maternity Cover
Contract: 16-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Hours: Mon to Thursday 8.15am to 5pm - 1.30pm finish friday
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised HR Administrator to join our busy HR department At Teconnex located in Keighley, nr the train station, and we have parking on site for a 16-month fixed-term contract, providing maternity cover.
You will play an important role in delivering a professional, efficient and seamless HR service to employees across the UK. Acting as a first point of contact for employees and managers, you will provide day-to-day HR administration and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous HR administration experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing an accurate and responsive service. A background with manufacturing or a blue Collar environment would be an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
As HR Administrator, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate employee information on the HR system and electronic personnel files.
- Processing employee changes including maternity and paternity leave, sickness absence, secondments, job changes and departmental transfers.
- Supporting recruitment activities, including managing internal applications and coordinating interviews.
- Coordinating the onboarding process for new employees, including Right to Work checks, offer letters, contracts of employment and new starter documentation.
- Administering employee benefits, pensions, long-service awards, eye care and the Share Investment Plan.
- Preparing and providing accurate monthly payroll information to relevant stakeholders within agreed deadlines.
- Managing the shared HR inbox, responding to queries efficiently and escalating or allocating enquiries to the appropriate HR team member when required.
- Maintaining HR and Time & Attendance systems, ensuring information relating to absence, clockings, pay and benefits is accurate.
- Producing HR reports and workflows to support the department and wider business.
- Acting as a professional first point of contact for HR enquiries, both face-to-face and over the telephone.
- Supporting UK internal communications.
- Organising meetings, room bookings, site events and employee recognition awards.
- Supporting continuous improvement of HR administrative processes.
- Ensuring company HR policies and procedures are followed consistently.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in an HR Administrator or similar HR support role.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organisation and administrative skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy HR environment.
- A professional and approachable manner when dealing with employees, managers and other stakeholders.
- Experience working within a manufacturing, blue-collar or similar operational environment.

Desirable Experience
It would also be beneficial to have:
- A good understanding of HR functions and best practice.
- Knowledge of UK employment law and HR responsibilities.
- Experience using HR and Time & Attendance systems.
